That's exciting! Weight loss and better mental health while enjoying bacon and high fat foods? It's seems too good to be true.

It is too good to be true. Doctor told me that keto diet is fine short term for weight loss but can't recommend long term due to the way that the blood turns slightly acidic, negatively impacting the organs over time.

Ketosis (ketones in blood but not enough to turn acidic) and diabetic ketoacidosis (too much acid in the blood due to lack of insulin) are very different conditions. More. (Edit: clarity)
