MODERATORS

I was recently banned from the subreddit, r/Robinhood for making a comment about Robinhood's shady practices. I quoted their own rule, "Don't be you", calling them hypocrites, and received a 7 day ban from Reddit the following day.

How can we draw attention to Reddit supporting a subreddit whose very rules promote and protect intolerance and harassment?

I encourage you to message Reddit directly and report this community.

Welcome to Lemmy! Don't let our frustrations with Reddit give you the wrong impression.

The main surge that makes up most of Lemmy vahemetly hates what Reddit did a few months back. It wasn't just that they killed the third party apps, it was the fact the CEO and company gaslit and lied about the entire ordeal. They then completely shit all over the moderators and active folks that dared to call them out.

Reddit and it's little piggie CEO are dead to us now. This is why people are reacting the way they are to your post. You're very welcome here, we're just going to shit on Reddit if it's mentioned, that's all. It's a completely compromised platform that has started to openly rot from the head down. Most of us simply see no solution other than "get off of there, it's bad for you and everyone else."
