So make it a legal requirement that devices sold in the US have chips made locally or have an added tariff. It's not hard to figure out alternative solutions, they just don't want to use them because...

Sure but subsidies won’t generally be challenged in court like the others. It’s just the way the game is played in the United States.

I’m not saying it’s moral, I’m just saying that it’s the fastest way to get things done here.
