I’m not sure what you mean. The reporting organizations were not found guilty and so were not sentenced.

If you’re talking about Elmo the article stated that the dismissal was sought using anti-SLAPP legislation, which is exactly what those laws were meant for. I didn’t see if the article said that the court would in addition to dismissing the case would find for a penalty against Musk.

Ahh thanks for this. Yeah, I've been interested in laws recently so I'm always curious what laws people in the news were sentenced under (edit: dismissed, in this case). I just learnt about RICO laws recently.

Edit: do you think that these useful laws like anti-SLAPP and RICO are ever likely to be passed on federal level?
