Then, professor, explain the difference between privacy and anonymity and how you can have either one online. Ignoring the fact that every network you connect to has a record of what ip and sometimes what mac id connected to it. Even if you were truly anonymous online, all it takes is one slip up about what you do for fun, where you currently or used to work, your favorite restaurant, etc to give people everything they need to know to find you.
I'm not sure you understand what I am saying or where I am coming from. I'm all for as much privacy and anonymity as one can have but as I have been using internet since it's inception (actually bbs before that) and I actually understand the core technology underpinning the way we are able to connect and have this asinine back and forth, I know just how little of it we actually have and sometimes the simplest act of trying to "hide" is what gives us away.
I for example use this same username all over the web. You could probably find my work phone number and the major metro I currently live near as well as where I used to live, what cars I've driven/currently drive, etc.
I'm really hoping you confused me with someone else OR your just a troll who I wasted 3 minutes of my life responding to before I go back to work. Either way, I look forward to your response and I fully expect to be blocking you after said response.
Have a nice day now.
On second thought, I'll block you because it's clear you have no idea what you are talking about.
