In places like that Christianity isn’t about following the teachings of a rabbi from 2000 years ago, but about demonstrating in group status. The frequent use of the word “blessed” signifies that imo. It’s not an acknowledgment of the struggle to be holy, but an assertion that their god loves them.

As an ex catholic it’s fucking wild. Especially because they tend to have the most sociopathic interpretation of sola gratia
