Pretty amazing to see how he's ratcheted up across the season. He seems invigorated by the playoff chase and with each goal he scores I'm more certain he's going to be able to do it.

At Ove's current pace that's at least 3 more seasons. Def doable but won't be easy.

What do you call "current pace"? He's got a few more goals in him this season, wouldn't be surprised to see him hit 30. Absolutely doable in the next 2 seasons.

He's at 20? this season with about 12 games left. So maybe 25 goals this season. So you're right probably only two more seasons. That means staying healthy for them both too. Def doable, but still won't be easy. It's incredible he's almost 50 and still putting up the numbers he does.

Edit: Meant 40 not 50

Not to nitpick, but he's 38 years old, has 23 goals this season, with 14 games left this season.

wrote 50 meant 40, thanks for the correction

Absolutely. His style is perfect for longevity but at his age, he has to stay vigilant both on and off the ice.

Relatively small sample but since Christmas he's scoring at roughly a forty goal pace. The first half of the season he was likely carrying an injury, he had like....5 goals scrubbed out and his shooting % was at an unsustainably bad level.

I think he'll pop another 3-4 this season, and then come back hot next year. His days of 50 goals are over, but he's still got that shot, and I think the teams done a decent job of ridding itself of some dead weight, which might allow for them to spend a bit in the summer to get him someone to feed pucks on the PP.
