Why is the hangul phonetically Day 6 (Dae-i sik-seuh) and not the words for day 6 in korean?

Is it similar to Spanish where english words are considered more fashionable or high class?

because their official band name is in English only. They don't have official Korean counterpart. Some group have both English and local name, eg: Loona, SNSD where they will write and priortize the Korean name instead when writing in Korean.
