A bit late but the library is a great resource in general and it's free!

Food is always a good choice too but eating out often is expensive and unhealthy.

My brother works from home and when he gets too stir crazy he'll go work at a local coffee place. It's not very original but it's popular for a reason. Check Google/Yelp to find a place near you.
