I find it fascinating that this North American First Nations tribe chose to name themselves after the Australian derivative ‘Ute’ (for ‘utility vehicle’) which is basically is the same as a pick-up truck.

I mean I guess it’s better than calling yourselves ‘people mover’ or ‘station wagon’.

I'm pretty sure that's a linguistic coincidence, they're a tribe that's been around for a long time. ☝️🤓
