Me: How long can sharks live

Google: I need to customize this result to your current location

Me: That's clearly wrong and if it's right then it's terrifying

Image transcription: Google search: Shark life expectancy Google: See results closer to you? Use precise location

@mcc Google seems to be indiscriminately asking for location for any search results now, previously it would only ask for location for queries that may be location dependent (say you're searching for ice cream shops or something, you'd want results for nearby ones).

I do find it funny though when I search for something random programming related thing that's definitely not location-dependent and Google may be like "There are hot single API references in your area! Allow location to see them!"
