It is clear that r/gunners is much more up to date than lemmy.world/gunners. Once Reddit API's come into effect, r/gunners will only be available on the official reddit app. Will anyone be willing to make the sacrifice, browse r/gunners, and then post all the same links/images on lemmy.world/gunners? I will for sure do my part. There is no need to drive traffic to Reddit more than necessary.

I looked at r/gunners for the first time since the blackout. The level of apathy/lack of understanding/refusal (IMO) to appreciate the bigger picture that certain redditors have is perhaps predictable but disappointing.

It's not not only r/gunners. There multiple subreddits that I follow where the whole situation has been missunderstood and categorised as the uprising of a mere few (mainly users of 3rd party apps).

I don't think there will be a mass exodus from Reddit as many predict.

I think it's because people try to use Lemmy and find it "too complicated". If apps were like Sync and Apollo, and there was one place to easily look up communities, they would come but in the end, people are lazy and want it easy.

True. Even I find myself going back to Reddit (using the crappy android app) every now and then. Granted not as much as I use to when I was using Sync for Reddit.
