What difference is there between something like this, and a cruise missile? I'm curious what the distinction is given this being referred to as a drone
I think it's because of the shape, speed, and how they are launched.
I think cruise missiles are generally autonomous, and these are remotely piloted?
That being said, the lines are going to get blurry. There will be all sorts of combinations of payload, propulsion, guidance.
There are also already a lot of names: drones, UAVs, loitering munitions, cruise missiles, etc.
