Luckily when you get the boot they NEVER write down any information!
Even more luckily more often than not any more. Car boots are just used by private companies trying to fine (extort) people using privately owned public lots. They have no legal standing. Seething this person didn't steal the boot or destroy the boot, it is entirely possible that no crime has been committed.
We have tickets and boots for parking violations on public roads in Chicago.
Aren't Chicago roads privately owned?
So? You don't think that means you can ignore the violations, do you? (try it!)
I mostly meant it as "um aktshually these boots are still used by a private company". :p
Ok about that, my city uses a much more sophisticated version for parking violations.
