Tips how to lead a Squad (self.battlebitremastered)

I started to lead a squad, but I have some questions:

  1. How do I prevent automatic target switch?
  2. How do I mark a point I stand on as defend?

Are there any other general tips for new squadleads?

Ontop of this I'd add, it's totally viable to superfob a point, you will need support, ideally 2-4 guys to be active defenders outside of the lemmings, but if you can put it in or next to the cap zone you can hold out well
