Since autism in females presents differently, we need a place to discuss our own issues and triumphs dealing with Autism.

I ask, as fireworks go off nearby. Loud enough to make my teeth and chest vibrate.

Hiding in my room only goes so far, since I get it from both sides of my house.

You can try noise canceling headphones, or a loud uneven white noise generator (though that's not super great for fireworks)

When my husband finally got home, he took charge and made it better. Turns out my favorite YouTuber is perfect for blocking out the fireworks, with headphones.

My spouse is often my shield/savior as well! We’re sooo lucky to have a loved one who gets us!
