The Mars Helicopter Ingenuity has flown its final fight and I am unbelievably distraught tbh. It did so much more than it was expected to.
It's funny how we develop these attachments to non-sentient objects. It's a pretty cool time to be alive, from a science point of view. It feels like there are a bunch of cool discoveries just over the horizon that I'm sure will raise more questions than answers.
On the other hand, as someone doing physics, I feel like nothing really like, massive in terms of theoretical physics has happened in forever lol. A good few experimental confirmations last decade, between the Higgs and gravitational waves, but idk like, the problem of GR and QM not working together seems like it's stuck until we find more evidence. Though I do not know nearly enough to say much about that, tbf.
I wonder if someone will have a surprise breakthrough!
Fingers crossed on muon g-2, personally.
