All true but Green Day hasn't been punk since just before Dookie. If you want to hear Billy Joe Armstrong in a punk band check out Pinhead Gunpowder.
Being punk seems like such a high and a low bar all at the same time.
I think anyone who considers it a low bar at all thinks punk is about teen angst or some such.
No, it's not that it's about angst. More that any one can be punk in any walk of life.
