Absolutely awful. I love historic circuits and am in favor of keeping them on the various motorsport calendars, but there needs to be a roundtable on what can be done to improve safety on this section of track.
The very first thing they need to do is stop running races in extreme downpour conditions at Spa, atleast for the feeder series with junior drivers.
Unfortunately, I came across a video of the crash somewhere on twitter and itβs shockingly similar to what happened between Hubert and Correa.
A crying shame that not only do lives continue to be lost, but in ways that are damn near identical to past events that we should have already learned better from.
Agreed. It's insane they're not learning. Even Landos crash there should have been a wake up call. Not sure how many incidents it's gonna take for them to reasess
