My dad spotted these while doing yard work. He's curious to know if they're invasive. There was a little hole in the ground that they seemed to be crowding into.

Margined Carrion Beetles, Oiceoptoma noveboracense.

They're not invasive, they're native to North America. The "noveboracense" in the Latin name refers to New York specifically.
