Back in 2017 (so 13 years after he died), I was volunteering at a youth club near me, helping the kids out with their radio station project, and teaching them about podcasting. I mentioned Peel when talking about different styles you could use to address your audience.

Not one of them had any idea who he was.

Which made sense; the oldest among them was perhaps 1 when he died. But damn, it still made me feel old...
