Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

My plan for the long weekend is to do a kayaking trip on all three days, I've started off well with a short paddle from Ngatitoa domain out towards the reef and back, tomorrow I aim to paddle from Makara to Owhiro Bay, and Monday a circumnavigation of Kapiti island.

Then we will hopefully get some rain, and I can do some whitewater stuff during the week.

Exciting! I have kayaking planned for the coming week too, but only a beginner tour in Abel Tasman 😆

That's the very first sea kayaking trip I did actually, in a rented double. It's a beautiful place to paddle, I've been there three times now.

I've done plenty of messing around in kayaks in my years, but never anything too physical and never a tour, so I'm looking forward to it. I hope my arms can handle it, it's probably been 10 years since I was last in a kayak!

The distances in Abel Tasman are pretty small, so you'll probably be OK. Do you know what boat you will be paddling?

Not sure, but I am sure I will be fine. It's for beginners after all, I'd guess we will go at a pretty leisurely pace. I like the think I'm not that unfit, so I'm sure Illness handle it OK though I might have sore arms the next day.
