I think you’re right. The angle of the shot makes me think someone is about to enter, and if it’s that episode, I think it may have been Ned to stop Homer taking the beer.

It was Ned's house. The cult didn't allow beer, and Ned and Lovejoy were winning him over with booze.

This leads to a fun line a few seconds later...
