Rules (draft)

We probably don't need as many rules as on reddit just yet. But some important ones will carry over.

Rule #1 Deal with Each Other in Love
Rule #2 Keep Content Charitable
Rule #3 Keep Content Clean
Rule #5 Maintain the Integrity of the Gospel and Gospel ethics.

It's becoming more and more apparent that the next generation is different than Boomers and GenXers. And our methods of evangelism and outreach may not be actually reaching Millennials and Gen Z.

So what does your church do or what ideas do you have to reach them with the gospel?

#1 Stop pestering people. No one wants to get a sermon in the checkout line or from a door to door salesman. I say this as someone who has left the church after being big into the community for years during childhood.

#2 Good works back good words. Be an example in your community. Help everyone, not just fellow Christians. Get people the help where they need it. Build a ramp for the handicaped. Feed the hungry. House the homeless. Don't make it a drive for followers, do good for the sake of doing good. The followers will come.

  1. Boomers and GenXers don't like that, either. So we haven't done anything like that in many years.

  2. That's an excellent sugguestion. And I've learned that it's much better to join what people are already doing in the area, rather than replicate it or start something new as a church that is already being done by others in the same city.
