Are there really pro-hamas people in the alt-left? I thought they were just anti Netanyahu and anti bombing of areas designated safe-zones by those dropping the bombs.
Fair question, I'd say start regular reading on conflict discussion in WorldNews. There are regular calls for the destruction of Israel, and endless propaganda posts. I've watched them have discussions that there's no such thing as terrorism at all, with many users chiming in to agree. The amount of lies, misinformation, half-truths, and just outright stupid there coalesces into an echo chamber of anti-Isreal and often anti-Jew circle jerk posts.
Well that sounds like a shitshow. Much of what I’ve read/watched takes a anti-hamas & anti-Netanyahu stance, including talking points from many Israelis.
I'd very much like for that to be the case. I'm ANTI-Bibi and ANTI-Likud and would love to see both prosecuted by either the ICJ or ICC for crimes before October 7th. Especially the long list of collective punishment crimes. JUST as I'd like to see every Hamas rocket attack (every one an individual war crime) prosecuted, and the same with the endless terrorist attacks they've committed over the years against civilians (on behalf of Gaza who not only elected them, but whose support increases when they murder civilians--October 7th has made them more popular than EVER)
What gets me banned from worldnews all the time, and other left groups, is that I believe Israel has a right to exist, and a right to defend itself. And because I disagree usually my comments are removed, or I'm given bans, etc. It's disturbingly authoritarian left over there (trendy term Tankies, I believe). There's a legitimate debate to be had about how you handle a populous who elects and hides terrorists in their midsts, and for who there is objective majority support both in Gaza and even more so in the West Bank. But you can't have these discussions, because you will ultimately trigger on of the MHGA kids and get banned.
