It wouldn't always be the same individuals being successful after you redistributed land and wealth. You seem to think that greed and ruthlessness are the best ways or only ways to be successful. This is not true. People succeed though cooperation. Look for information about the Prisoners Dilemma, which is a thought experiment (and real experiment) about whether success is better achieved by cooperation or by ruthlessness.
