How to make my community visible from other instances? (lemmy.ml)

I tried to browse my community from other instances, but got 404: Couldnt find community error. What do I need to do to have said community visible from other instances?

To add to this, new posts, comments and votes are only actively pulled in as soon as they're up if at least 1 person on the instance is subscribed.

Each instance's all feed is a pretty good snapshot of what the users there are subscribed to because of this :P
