the Podcast app eats 30% of my battery in an hour just listening to an audio file....
Wild, mine doesn’t. Do you think it depends on what podcast?
maybe? i've been listening to LPoTL and hardcore history....
when i search for it, im definitely not the only one with this problem.
I don’t use the podcast app (I use Overcast), but if this were happening, I’d check if it’s downloading a bunch of new podcasts in the background or something and see if there’s a setting to limit that.
i think we're all computer guys on this here lemmy... but i definitely checked that.
searching the webs, a lot of people have this problem.
i think it might just be too high of quality audio...
but, thanks... i'll check out overcast
Oh I I have no idea if overcast will improve your battery life, I just like it. I think the UI is intuitive and the smart speed feature is amazing for talk shows.
so far it's the ideal podcast player... just exactly what i needed... very nice on battery as well...
