As a rule of thumb: If you need the internet to access it, you don't own it.As the world seems to move into one direction I find myself moving into the opposite. Lately I've even been thinking about simply downloading wikipedia and other data of public domain and storing it locally for offline use. The occasional rsync would keep this data up to date. Just my 2 cents on the subject. Maybe I'm the crazy one and the world is sane, but it feels the other way around.
