Technical Death Metal
A community for the technical death metal subgenre. Share and discuss music that melts your face!
Rules:
-
Don't be a dick.
-
Try not to get too bogged down in genre-gatekeeping. Discussing the "tech" credentials of some release/band is fun, but as long as it's oozing viscera, it probably has a place here. Shredbang!
-
Suggested (not enforced) music-posting format, mostly to distinguish band name from album/song title:
Artist - Album Or Song (Location, Year) (ffo: These Bands) (links)
ffo ("for fans of") and added links (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, Encyclopaedia Metallum) are optional but can make it easier to check out the music you're sharing.
Examples:
- Carnosus - Fermenting Blastospheres of Future Putridity (Sweden, 2023)
- Job For A Cowboy - Sun Eater (USA-AZ, 2014) (ffo: All Shall Perish, Wretched) (yt, s, bc, em)

Saw them two times live. They sound awesome live and they are all really cool guys. Always fun
(Wouldn't describe it as technical death though.
SLAM! ( oink oink oooooooink)
Yeah fair enough. I struggle with genre labels, and a lot of people lump some pretty brutal stuff in with TDM, but I can totally see slam
Saw them at Deathfeast Open Air in Andernach/Germany. They slam.
The newer stuff has a lot from tdm. So you can put them in both. Not that important. It's just good music
