From what I read the deeper you go in any architecture, the more brutal it gets.
The equivalent to c level jobs in companies with everyone being cutthroat is kernel devs. The stories I heard are brutal and getting rtfmd everywhere, even if there is no manual is apparently normal.
I‘m sorry you made that experience. We can only keep trying. Giving up is not an option imo.
