No internet connection, no problem. These offline games offer players the chance to explore a completely new world in a variety of genres.

I thought rdr2 requires a constant internet connection even for single player ? Is that not the case ?

So, this is frustrating, but Steam does surface this stuff in the Steam Deck Compatibility info section. I wish they would make this more plainly visible so that I can avoid buying games that do stupid stuff, but perhaps it's in their best interest to bury it like they do. If you go to RDR2's Steam Deck info, it says it only requires an internet connection during first-time setup. So, it can be played offline. You just need to run it online the first time.

Ah got it … I recently bought it on steam and after launching it asked me to create a new “rockstar social” account … I immediately refunded it… as someone who recently jumped into pc gaming after being console only for ages , this seemed weird and I don’t know, maybe something to do with the word “social” in the name of the account threw me off I guess … I wrongly assumed it would be always online even for single player … anyway I don’t feel like buying it now … maybe when there’s another sale.
