Question: Supporting Linux/Ubuntu, and Ubuntu Pro (self.ubuntu)

My main question is this: Is it worth switching to Ubuntu Pro? Actually I see it's free for personal use on one computer.

I'd be curious to hear the experience of those of you who switched, and also the motivation of those who didn't switch.

This question is partly related to another one: I'd like to economically support Linux in general and Ubuntu in particular. Would switching to Ubuntu Pro (and paying) help in this regard? Or which other ways of supporting are out there?

(As you understood, I'm somewhat of a newbie in the Linuxverse.)

There are also updates to 23,000 applications from Universe repository that don't usually get updates. At least that's what's claimed.
