Might not be a game worth playing, even for free, based on the various scummy actions Bungie has done to it over time (what I heard was grind-heavy events, content that people paid for deleted, the vanilla game and plot experience for newcomers making no sense). However, if it was ever on your radar of interest, now would be a decent time to get it.

It comes with 3 campaigns in the bundle: The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep.

if that stuff pisses you off like it does me, you don't even get into it, because it really feels like they're just reaching into your wallet without providing anything but frustration.

I agree with you. I claimed the game but I'd really only pick it up if I needed something to spend my time with and could ignore the monetization aspect of it.
