On one hand, we played the numbers and Exum had a career shooting night. On the other hand, after his 4th or 5th 3, perhaps we should throw the spreadsheet into the trash bin and come up with a contingency plan, and adjust to the theme of the game? This may also have been a win had Vando played and nothing else changed, but a single, good coaching adjustment would've edged out today.
On the silver lining side, great games from the Big 3 - AD, LeBron, and Reeves!
Everybody shows up to play the Lakers, it's hilarious. That being said, there's a huge gap in our defense without Vando. Hams defensive schemes makes me miss Vogel.
I hated that we scapegoated Vogel. He was my favorite Lakers coach since Phil Jackson left; maybe because he was the only one who seemed "professional" in the sense that he's absolutely a master of his craft. But I think a Vogel-Ham coaching lineup would've been amazing. One for the X & O's, the other for building up your players and getting their buy in.
Yeah, it was rough seeing how he was treated, Vogel got us the Bubble Chip and was then given a roster that was tough to work with. I'm not sure who would be better with today's roster, but I do know that our defensive effort would be much better with Vogel.
