Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

Hey!

So, I just finished and have now finalized my work flow for processing Kinesis Advantage 360 and 360 pro switch replacement process. I was contacted regarding doing such a service and as a result found out about how UpgradeKeyboards handles their "only authorized" service.

In that they've got a 6 month+ lead time.

While I'm not "officially authorized" I do terrific work. I'm just finishing up designs on 3d printed soldering shields to make the process further streamlined.

If you don't want to wait an near infinite amount of time to have a functional board in your hands let me know!

I haven't fully hammered down the price but the process takes me ~2.5 hours. (~75-100$)

It would function in the following way; Contact me; I'll need you to send me the board; and if you want specific switches I can order them or what I've had work before is just include them keyboard.

My turn around time is literally 1 day unless I get utterly flooded.

I build keyboards for (almost a living) I'm using professional equipment; can diagnose other problems, and while I'm reasonably new (8~months in) I've made pretty solid impressions with my own designs, so I believe I can at least help offer to deal with the current lead-times.

Would it be possible to put hot swap sockets in the board? I've thought about getting a KA360, but lack of a hotswap option has stopped me from really seriously considering it.

Looking at your shop I kight pick up a set of your dactyl flexible pcbs and revisit building a dactyl if I can cut that much soldering out...

Not using the original boards. I have a solution to that but the non-wireless one is using non-standard matrix wiring. Actually having a hard time locating the smd in the image which would be required for me to make a design with hotswap.

I'm short on time but I will be prototyping a conversion for the advantage 2 and then the 360 pro.

If I can get my hands on a advantage 360 pcb that I can use for trace mapping I will hopefully be able to work out a option for the wired version. That or gut the whole innards for a qmk option if I can't.

Actually after a couple of hours I think I found a sister component with the same behavior, so given enough time I can probably get replacement boards with hotswap assuming I can get my hands on another board to try and trace track
