...but I find myself only using one - my CF nib Pilot Metropolitan.

It's the only stub nib I've found which is fine enough for my handwriting size - yep it burps on occasion when I fill it, but I only want to use this pen.

Anyone else have far more expensive pens sitting around doing nothing while they use a cheap/mid range pen?

I tend to rotate between a 2 or 3 of mine. I have a Twsbi AL Mini that I use a lot as my everyday carry, and when I'm at home I tend to use my Twsbi diamond 580 or my Teranishi Guitar. In those pens the nibs that come with them are pretty nice (esp for the price) and I keep my favorite inks in them so I always those inks available.
