Any day City wins is a dark day for football to be fair
True but this is damn worse lol
Yeah. We knew this day would eventually come but it's still bloody depressing they've finally got what they want and you know that level of investment isn't going to be happy with one, they're going to want a legacy
Eh, at least this model is gonna be better is what I'm thinking. Optimism!
I saw the greatest team we've ever had get asembled on a shoestring run into the biggest commercial success in world football combined with a genius level coach and a historical golden generation, I'm trying very hard not to see the same sort of thing happening again.
Just waiting for City to get smacked by financial shit all the way down to the Combined Counties North West personally
We can but dream!
Can't wait to tell them to enjoy FCUM at home
Now that would be a fucking hilarious match. Also watch Neville melt down when Salford City aren't the richest club down there any more.
The one good thing is it'd probably make the national league promotion to EFL have 3 up 3 down which it desperately should have by now lol
Doubt that would change the basic economics of the situation.
Love how we're acting like this might possibly ever happen
Eh, I could see them throwing a bunch of money to get up faster. Plus honestly it should happen eventually, imagine if Notts didn't come up this season. It's a pro league it should get more pro-rel.
I do think city will actually get expelled from the league if convicted, but I doubt the EFL won't take them unfortunately... and even that first bit has obvious doubts
I can see the premier league trying but if it came to a vote things will get complicated. No one has issues voting against clubs they don't like but imagine yuo're a billionaire with global investments and suddenly you get Abu Dhabi and it's many, many friendly companies, bankers, diplomats, bought politicians all leaning on you to not fuck up their global shining star. Or simply straight up bribing.
