One of my favorite animated movies. Made by WB studios, it's a shame they didn't try to compete more against pixar and disney. 2D animation movie that remains my favorite animated movie to this day. A great movie about about a boy and his giant robot friend.

The book is even better, IMHO. I love the movie, no contest, but that book lived in my backpack for the entirety of 3rd-5th grade and I read it until it literally fell apart. I won't spoil it, but it launched me into scifi almost singlehandedly. 🤌🏼❤️

I didn't know about the book. I might give it a read later this week, looks like a short book.

It's a very short book, and I loved it as a small child, so take that into consideration; it's no revelatory literature, but in 3rd grade it was eye-opening in a fantastic way.
