I’m from Australia and planning to travel to UK and Europe in March next year. Would love to watch a match and it seems that I can go to Sheffield United game (16 March). I’m assuming it’s impossible to get reasonably priced tickets for the Liverpool game.

I’m a bit confused about how this works. My understanding is that I have to get a membership to buy general admission tickets. But looking at their website, those are all sold out. Best bet seems to be hospitality tickets for £££.

Does anyone have experience with third party sellers? Would waiting for closer to the match for returned tickets be worth it? Or do I need to shell out for hospitality tickets?

And what happens if the game gets rescheduled to a completely different week and I’m no longer able to attend, do they refund?

When you are going for a weekend game it's always wise to book your travels from Friday to Tuesday morning so that if the game gets rescheduled you can still attend. I'm not sure what happens if it gets rescheduled to a different weekend though. I always buy my tickets through the local united supporter club. I'm sure there is a branch in Australia too.

The hospitality tickets I don't find to be worth the price but I guess if it's for a once in a life time experience it can be worth it :)

My current plan is Friday to Monday so I can probably extend a bit to be safe. I looked at the Australian supporters club and since it’s mid season, if I want access to game tickets they require 3x the annual membership fee but it only covers to next season. It’s more expensive than getting the membership from manutd.com directly

Yeah that’s one of the reasons I’m thinking about hospitality tickets. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever go again so it might be okay to spend the money. Just a bit taken aback by the pricing
