How can I make Firefox open a link clicked from the homepage open in the last active tab instead of a new tab? (lemmy.ml)

For example, if i am on lemmy.ml and click the address bar, it shows me my homepage with frequently visited sites.... If i click one of them, it opens a new tab instead of replacing the current site in the current tab with the new site... Hopefully that is clearer
