Bought a house in Mexico. Noticed the is cockroach. Where there is one, there are many. After couple of weeks, bought some high end pesticides and sprayer. Proceed to spray down the entire house right before bed. Woke up in the morning and there were literally thousands of not ten thousand dead cockroaches throughout the house. I don't think there was a spot larger than a foot without a cockroach in it. Walking thru it to get a broom gave me the willies.
Following night I poured undiluted pesticides down all the drains. Not nearly as bad but likely another thousand dead buggers. Surprisingly that actually got the majority of them. Sprayed third night and hardly any. Week later again and just a few much smaller. Think the ones that just hatched.
Now is once a year and hardly any. Mind you they are better than the rat issue we hard.
