I believe we shouldn't defederate from Meta's threads immediately after its release (kbin.social)

Yeah I heard alot of people in the Fediverse saying that Meta Threads should be immediately defederated. But I believe that this is a great chance for the Fediverse to grow as a whole. But I think we should only defederate from them when they actually do something that's against the Fediverse (like doing the "Embrace / Extend / Extinguish" tactic).

Paperclip machine gonna paperclip. Threads, as an entity, is just an incidental product. Meta's sole purpose is to swallow and consume. It's the same reason why people (generally) don't keep wolves as pets.
