I highly recommend DOS2! I've had a lot of fun playing it with a friend. The story and side quests are some of the most creative I've seen experienced in years, and as someone who doesn't play many turn based games I actually really enjoy the combat. I haven't played BG3 but it seems similar enough to scratch that itch
