Hi, for a while I’ve been having a serious problem with piped on Firefox iOS client (not been able to test on other platforms yet as my PC has shat itself). I am registered to rafo.tech and while that might instance is up I don’t have any issue. I once tried to log in to kavin.rocks by mistake and now the kavin.rocks page spam refreshes literally every second and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Clearing my browsing data did seem to solve the problem, however when I tried register an alternate account on kavin.rocks so I could have a backup site with my subs for when rafo.tech is down it is straight back to its spam refreshing behaviour. This seems to have effectively banned me from ever making an account or using kavin.rocks.

I was wondering if this is a common occurrence and I’m missing an easy fix. How can I unfuck my situation?

Do you mean the entire page is refreshing?

Indeed, if I’m fast enough I can maybe select the preferences page but it just keeps refreshing exactly like I was spamming the refresh page button. I don’t think I’ve ever really encountered this behaviour before.

Also, telling Firefox to stop has no effect, it just continues spam refreshing regardless.

I’m glad I’m not alone with this, it just happened to me and I was really confused. Same behavior as you described on kevin.rocks on iPad, using Firefox and Safari. As soon as I logged in, I was thrown into a loop that refreshes the page every second.

Do I understand you correctly, other instances don’t behave like this? In that case I will probably go elsewhere until someone finds a solution.

Edit: that’s not supposed to be a threat or tantrum, I’m just considering workarounds.

It was working fine with another instance until today, when it was starting to do its refresh spam on rafo.tech but I reset private data which actually fixed it and I could log in fine.

This time I joined via the Firefox homepage shortcut. Which may have something to do with it?
