Type 2 CCS is the way to go in Europe. Unfortunately for you, Nissan made choices for the Leaf that turned out to not be future proof here.
What may be confusing is that you have the AC Type 2 plug, used for low speed charging, and the Type 2 CCS plug, which has a type 2 plug (for data connection) plus 2 pins for the power:
This is the future for high speed chargers in Europe. You want to be compatible with that if you want to use a high speed charger.
Thanks - I'm pretty sure this is the plug that I saw.
Isn't that always the way? 😅 At least when my wife needs a new car, I'll know what to look out for now!
