This is what happens when you've been punching down so long that you actually believe yourself to be strong.

Picking on the angry kid with no shoes isn't the same as picking a fight with real power. Don't worry though, you're their mascot of how benevolent they delude themselves into believing they still are, since they granted you that land you're on in the first place, so they'll pat you on the head and tell you your pretty for your outburst there, mascot.

The UN, even the US won't do anything.

Remember Israel ran a US citizen (Rachael Corrie) over with an armoured bulldozer and attacked a US warship (USS Liberty) suffering zero consequences both times
