I finally saw a Common Firecrest from up close and even managed to take a photo! I was so excited to finally see one, such cute little birds! One of the smallest in Europe even. Their German name (Sommergoldhähnchen) is also great, it translates to “Summer Gold Chicken".

Great photo! I love the framing and how it's just sitting in front of that little shadow area behind it.

Thank you! :-) It was a very lucky shot, they're so fast, it's like they have ADHD and can't stay still! It sat there for maybe a second at most before it flew off again.

I'm a Real Estate photographer but I've always loved wildlife photography. I just need a lens for it. My 16-35mm is basically useless for that. Haha
