The point of the community is to post items available at a discount. Should be more about actual deals than spam.

And it is.

Unfortunately, the nature of cross posting the actual deals (until we have our own actual activity) lends itself to catching up in batches, which... doesn't play well with the default "all" sort.

The mods should probably have a rule about self promotion (more clearly an ad) and something about volume of posts to a particular website.

I'd already planned to put together similar; I'd wanted to see how the concept would work at all first, along with any potential issues. Seems like we've uncovered a potential issue.

It’s a nice idea in theory but just results in FOMO and buying stuff you wouldn’t otherswise.

Depends entirely on whether or not you've already budgeted for X and are just waiting for the right price.
