I think just anything that is related to my own overarching goals and energizes me to pursue them is going to have a positive impact. That's going to be different for everybody.

I think a lot of things have a negative impact, and in that sense I'm so glad that reddit forced me to leave. I overwrote and nuked a 10-year, 200k karma account last week. There's so much crap that you can get sucked into on a platform like that. I remember periodically going through my subreddit subscriptions and unsubscribing just to save myself from doomscrolling. I'm ok with spending a lot of time enthusing about things that are relevant to my main goals, but cat videos aren't part of that.
